Engineering Design Workshop

Learn about how a professional engineer designs something from the idea into a prototype! This workshop will be led by Ben Drakich, who will talk about the ideation process, identifying gaps, defining the scope, the service environment, design iterating, and more to help your engineering projects.



Hydraulic Machine Workshop

Sunday June 13 from 1PM-2PM

Learn about hydraulic machines, their role in our world today, and make your own using household supplies! Get hands-on as we show you how to create your own water-powered hydraulic machine in this workshop. 

PLEASE NOTE! This is a live demonstration. You will be need to provide your own materials to follow along. 

The following materials will be used for this workshop:

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Cardboard
  • Glue gun & Liquid glue
  • Wooden skewers or toothpicks 
  • Syringes (blunt tip – no needles) 2-4x 10mL. (Home-made syringes from highlighters can be used as alternative)
  • Tubing (vinyl, rubber, or polythylene) ~1/4 to 1/2 diameter inside. (Straws can be used as an alternative.)
